I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!
Excuse me while I go freak out!
I am now a NASM certified personal trainer! It has been a crazy crazy 8 weeks studying for this exam and I am so relieved it’s over. When the proctor told me congratulations I had to hold back the tears of joy and instead kept staying “oh my god! oh my god! oh my god!”
Stay tuned for a recap of how I studied for the exam for those desperately looking for help via google… cuz yes I spent an excessive amount of time google searching times over the past few weeks.
But for now it’s time to sit back, relax, clean my messy messy apartment and go shopping 🙂

Congrats! I take my NASM exam next week and I have the live session tomorrow. I found your blog when I “Googled” to see if the live session is helpful. I’m happy to hear it was useful and will help me when I work with clients but it is a little bit distressing that we won’t be focusing more on preparation for the exam because my test is so soon. 🙁 However, I understand that’s not the purpose of the class. One of my specific concerns was if they would mix me up by throwing out information that is slightly different from what is in the text! ACK! Oh well – hopefully, it will all come together in my brain before the test. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

hey becki! I know exactly how you feel, that was me in December. I’m sure everyones experience differs depending on the instructor but ultimately the information will all be supported by the textbook and the key concepts will be identical to the book.
Best of luck studying and kicking butt on the exam! It will all be over soon!
