Happy Monday! Over the weekend I recharged in Westchester and spend some quality time with the boy, friends and family. As much as I love living in Manhattan I’m so grateful whenever I have the chance to spend a few days in Westchester taking it easy. I keep telling myself this week is going to flyby because I’ll be heading back to Westchester again Friday to celebrate the 40th reunion of the camp I attended as I kid and worked at while I was in college.
Sunday morning I headed to the gym with ambitious plans of a 4 miles run on the treadmill. Within two minutes of being on the treadmill I remembered how much I despised treadmill running and nixed those plans for an upper body based workout
I’m a weirdo and LOVE doing planks so I enjoyed the bonus plank to the end of each section :).
Today was my last day at Mark Fisher Fitness. I had a blast and learned a lot during my 21-day “Make Me a Ninja” package and will be writing a post about my experience over the past 3 weeks soon! At this point I’ve decided not to continue because I have a bunch of workout packages at other studios that will expire soon if I don’t use them, but I’m hoping I will be able to spend more time at the “clubhouse” in the future.
Thanks to the horrendous heat I wasn’t able to get in all 3 of my training runs last week, but I’m still patting myself on the back for doing two runs despite the heat. I’m really hoping to get in 2-3 runs this week and get this half marathon training in motion.
Here’s how last week’s workouts went. Once I realized I was going home for the weekend and my MFF package was expiring I had to swap around a few workouts so I could fit it all in.
LAST WEEK:
Sunday – 3 mile run- done
Monday – 1 hour Uplift Strength class- done
Tuesday – 1 hour MFF + run / spin?– MFF DONE
Wednesday – run / spin or REST 3 mile run
Thursday- MFF + trapeze – done
Friday- run / spin– instead did MFF!
Saturday- rest – happily done
THIS WEEK:
Sunday: “ahhh my arms” circuit above
Monday- last Mark Fisher Fitness class
Tuesday- barre + spin / run
Wednesday- Uplift strength class
Thursday- spin or run + 2 hours trapeze
Friday- Rest
Saturday- zumba + strength training
