Happy Sunday friends! It’s been a jam packed but lovely week of working early morning shifts, job meetings, interviews, and catching up with good friends.
Highlights include:
– Monday I saw a screening of “Broadway Idiot” a documentary about creating American Idiot the musical and Green Day’s involvement in the creative process. As a theater nerd, American Idiot lover, and Green Day fan I was a happy but emotional mess and loved the documentary. Be on the look out for it’s nationwide release in the future!
– afternoon tea and sandwiches on Friday at Podonk with my bestie David who is visiting from Los Angeles
-dinner on my friend Ali’s rooftop in the financial district
– this morning marks the end of week 3 of half marathon training!
– brunch this afternoon at Agozar in the East Village
huevos rancheros after a 5 mile run was PERFECT.
And this afternoon my trapeze friends are getting together for a picnic
Can’t wait to see the Thursday trapeze gang for the first time in over a year!
My workout plan this week had lots of changes thanks to the weather and switching around my work shifts, but I’m happy to say I still crammed in 3 successful training runs. With every run I feel a bit more confident that 13.1 miles will be doable by October 6th!

Since I’m going home to Westchester Monday-Wednesday I’m not sure what classes I will take there, but I definitely want to take advantage of the trails while I’m there! And maybe squeeze in my second bikram class…
Time to head out for the picnic!
What workouts do you have planned for the week? I’m most excited about having Saturday off which means I can hopefully take advantage of one of the awesome free outdoor classes that are a part of “City Streets”. Love me some outdoor workouts!
