Tomorrow it all begins! Well sort of, it’s orientation for all the post-bacc students. I joked with my mom that I already have a cute outfit picked out and my hair is all straightened, and she told me to try and make 1 new friend at school :). In all seriousness I’m definitely excited to start this journey towards becoming a physical therapist.
This morning I laced up my running shoes and got back to half marathon training after taking a break from running recently. Do I love it the way I want to? Ehhhh. But I’m also stubborn and want to prove that I can do this… and then I never have to do it again if I don’t want to. Today I focused on minutes not miles and ran for roughly 40 minutes in the East Village
I love finding new quirky places in my neighborhood during my runs. Thinking about minutes not miles made this run far more bearable because I had no idea how fast I was going or how much distance I covered. Whatever it takes to get me to 13.1 miles…
No one hates saying goodbye to summer more than me, but I am here to assure you that there are reasons to love fall
Disneyland’s Halloween celebration is INCREDIBLE. So is dressing up as the characters from Moonrise Kingdom with my bestie.
–The Return of Pumpkin EVERYTHING
Pumpkin Spiced Lattes at Starbucks!
I also highly recommend stocking up on Trader Joe’s pumpkin butter. It’s heavenly with pancakes.
–cooler breezes means faster runs
Or at least that’s what people keep telling me!
As much as I love sun dresses and sandals I’m getting a bit sick of the same outfits and look forward to wearing my new jeans and boots.
–New TV Shows
Fall means old favorite TV shows are back (FINAL SEASON OF HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER!) and new shows will be premiering. I gotta find a new favorite sitcom!
— New Beginnings
For many of us fall means a new beginning. Perhaps you’re going back to school after having the summer off, maybe your work schedule changes after summer Fridays. I love starting a new schedule and creating a new routine. There’s definitely going to be a lot of adjusting– learning when’s the best time to squeeze in workouts and finding out just how much studying I’m going to have to do, but it’s all new and exciting!
Best of luck to all my fellow students on their first day of school tomorrow. Eeek!!
What are you favorite parts about fall?
