This morning’s run was a technology fail. But at least the weather was nice and the view was gorgeous?
The plan was to run 9ish miles, taking a walking break every 2 miles. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get the whole 9 miles in because I had to be home by a certain time but I still wanted to get in a decent long run. 20 or so minutes went by and I was shocked that I wasn’t at least 1 mile into the run. My Nike running app usually tells me the pace after every mile. I looked at my phone and realized that my GPS thinks I’ve run less than 0.5 miles in 20 minutes. I’m slow but not that slow!
I tried to fix it but the same problem kept happening. I think it’s because I updated my iPhone last night to iOS7 and played around with some of the settings and therefore whenever my phone was locked it stopped tracking miles.
So I’m not sure how many miles I ran, I’m guessing somewhere in the 5-6 range based on the time.
I dunno about you but I’m prone to fitness fails– forgetting my headphones, forgetting socks, running late, not updating my playlist. This fail didn’t ruin my run… but come on iPhone why’d it have to happen during my second to last long run of half marathon training?
After my run I took a quick shower… and then actually jumped in a pool for a spin class! I finally checked out AQUA. Stay tuned for a review of what it was like to spin in water!
I don’t know about you but I could use another day tacked onto this weekend because I’m TIRED! Since I usually work Saturdays one day off of school and work sure doesn’t feel like enough!

Monday– barre + run 5 – ran 5ish
Tuesday– uplift strength – done!
Wednesday– barre +maybe run 5 barre
Thursday – TBD maybe run 5 + trapeze- ran 5 + trapeze BAM
Friday– uplift strength- done
Saturday– rest or run 9- oh sweet rest!
Sunday– AQUA and possibly run 9?- yes AQUA (review coming soon!) and ran 6ish
This Week:
Tuesday- rest
Wednesday- barre + run 5
Thursday – run 5 + trapeze
Friday – uplifting strength
Saturday- Rest
Sunday- Run 10 (!)
