– Tuesday trapeze is becoming a new favorite of mine.
Most of the class was spent working on my layout (aka the trick I always work on) but I decided to throw my backend gazelle for catches. In a typical trapeze class the first 90 minutes are warming up and working on tricks and then final 30 minutes is throwing what you’ve been working on to the catcher. I generally skip over catches and either continue to work on my not-catch-worthy trick or stop flying at that point if I feel my shoulder getting cranky. Since I don’t catch all that often it feels so amazing when I finally do making a catch!
– I FINALLY signed up for a Classtivity Classpass. Honestly, I don’t know why it took me so long. It’s a pretty sweet deal if you use it wisely- 10 classes a month in NYC for $100 (and many of those classes are usually $32+ a pop). I think it’s going to be a good decision for me since 3 of my favorite places to strength train are part of the deal- Uplift, The Fhitting Room and Exceed. Plus it will give me the chance to try a bunch of studios I’ve been meaning to visit but too cheap to pay for. I already booked my first Barry’s Bootcamp class for Sunday (eeeep I’m a bit scared!) and have heard amazing things about Brooklyn Burn.

– I’m loving all things Thanksgivukkah
I spent far too much time searching for a witty shirt to wear for my Turkey (and latke?) Trot next week. I ended up copying my friend Sarah so we are going to be twinsies wearing a “Gobble Tov” shirt. We are both pretty excited about all the Thanksgivukkah running photos.
I haven’t been able to go home all that much this semester so it will be really nice to spend some time at home with the family and good friends. The boy and I are already super excited to see Frozen on black Friday 🙂
– This article about fighting dementia with showtunes. You will find me in my old age home still knowing every word to South Pacific, West Side Story, Company and of course In the Heights
And lastly, a little fitness/chemistry humor
I’m officially a science nerd….
The boy is already on his way driving into the city to spend the weekend here. We don’t have much planned besides finishing up the last season of 30 Rock. It’s taken us almost a year to watch every episode… now we need a new show to get hooked on together.
What sitcom are you hooked on?
I’m happy to say I got the boy hooked on How I Met Your Mother and we discuss and dissect the new episode every single Monday.
What random things do you have going on?
