Just wanted to say a quick “hey” on this Sunday evening. The boy and I had a low key weekend here in the city and didn’t do much but we did see a great circus show “Cirkopolis” at the Skirball Center. Can’t complain about a nice relaxing weekend with the boy.
I am (very) happy to say I passed chemistry and will be moving on to the second semester of gen chem! After finding out I couldn’t say anything except “Oh my god” for a good 5 minutes. Considering I struggled through high school chemistry, passing my first semester of college level chem is a huge relief. One step closer to physical therapy!!!
This week my workouts are going to be a bit different since I’ll be on vacation 🙂
Bring on the sunshine, Mexico!
While I enjoy checking out gyms and studios while traveling, it’s not my number one priority while on vacation. If I’m traveling to a city (or Disney) I usually do a decent amount of walking during the day that I don’t feel too lazy. For this upcoming week I don’t have any real workout plans for wile I’m in Mexico and will just kind of wing it depending on the activities offered at the resort. I’m excited to take advantage of the classes like aqua aerobics in the ocean and might check out the fitness center a few times for some strength training. In theory I’d love to get a run in since it will be a nice change from the frigid temperatures here in New York, but I have a feeling running on the beach might be too challenging for this spazz. My big fitness focus will be on TRAPEZE since the resort has a rig. I haven’t been able to fly all that much this semester so I’m excited to have a few days in a row of flying.
I can’t decide what I’m the most excited for– the sunshine, beautiful beach, daily trapeze… or the infamous white chocolate bread served at every meal 🙂 Should be a great week of relaxation and flying with my mama.
Here’s how last week’s workouts went:
Monday: 45 minutes barre
Tuesday: rest
Wednesday: strength training
Thursday: 75 minutes hot yoga
Friday: Body Space Fitness: Training for Warriors
Saturday: Cross Fit Fundamentals
Sunday: SoHo Strength Lab: SoHo Burn
I really enjoyed class at SoHo Strength Lab. It reminded me of a small group personal training session mixed with bootcamp. Another great find with Classtivity.
This week:
Monday: CrossFit (my first WOD)
Tuesday: TBD: most likely strength training
Wednesday – Monday= VACATION!!!!
Any tips for running on a beach? It sounds like a great idea, but I imagine in actuality it’s a hot mess.
What are you workout plans for this week? Trying out anything new?
