I was ridiculously excited when I heard Reebok was opening a FitHub in Union Square aka 3 blocks away from my apartment. True story: the store actually opened while I was away. After getting home from the airport I headed out to grab a smoothie and saw the new store was open. I promptly went in and bought a pair a leggings that I’ve been dying to purchase since I saw a sneak peak of them at the Reebok HQ last fall.
I jumped on the opportunity to take a class at the brand new FitHub with the brilliant Tara Stiles of Strala Yoga. Reebok also was kind enough to send me an outfit to wear to the event
This outfit is the epitomes of comfy. The bra actually matches the new leggings I just purchased (I’m so so so obsessed with this glitch pattern). The pants and tank top are ridiculously soft. The pants are a bit long on me (I’m only 5’2″) but the ankle fits tight enough that I didn’t have any issue during the yoga class. Note about fit: You might want to buy a size smaller than you usually do as this outfit fits a bit loose. I probably could have gone a size smaller than I did. I was also sent this awesome hoodie that I can’t wait to wear once it gets colder out.
I’ve never taken a class at Strala or with Tara Stiles, but had already heard lots about how amazing she is– and I was not disappointed. First, she’s got to be one of the nicest, friendliest people I’ve ever met. Seriously. This particular class was called “Relax” which was perfect on a Friday night at the end of a rather long work week. I don’t do yoga nearly as often as I should (I’m working on it I swear!) and this classes reminded me of how much I actually love yoga. It just felt so good to slow down, take a deep breath, and stretch out my tight and sore body.

Tara is definitely not your typical yoga instructor, for one she has this awesome signature laugh she lets out throughout class and knows how to keep things lighthearted and fun. Often times during yoga classes I get really discouraged since I can’t do certain poses either because I don’t have the flexibility or I’m not experienced enough. She constantly invited us to take our own variation of poses and I really liked that approach. Afterwards I got to chat with her and it just confirmed that she’s the nicest human being, ever.
I really love how Reebok’s Union Square FitHub makes great fitness classes more accessible with lots and lots of free classes throughout the week from CrossFit to run clubs. Reebok also has free classes at their other nearby FitHubs in Westchester, Garden State, the Upper East Side and 5th Avenue.
The actual store itself is big, spacious and incredibly well organized by “sport”. I’m a fan of the big wall of leggings that makes it easier to find the type of pants you’re looking for:
One cool feature I’ve never seen anywhere else is the ability to customize your gear for free on the spot with LocalInk.
You choose a color, a design and what article of clothing you want it on and the print is done right then and there.
Welcome to the neighborhood, Reebok. I’m looking forward to taking more classes (Les Mills anyone?) at the FitHub in the near future!

What are the black drawstring pants called? I would like to try and find them online but seem to not be on Reebok’s page anymore. Thanks!

hey johanna,
just tried to find them too, not sure if reebok is still making them anymore! They have a few similar styles though like their harem pants.
