- The Skimm. I’m so so so obsessed with The Skimm. Staying up to date on current events is not my specialty. It’s pretty embarrassing that I probably know more about a new fitness studio opening up in Manhattan than I do about world issues. The Skimm makes it a bit easier by sending an email every weekday morning around 6:30AM with a quick overview of all the big stories in the news that day written in a quirky and approachable manner. It’s pretty fantastic and I love reading it every morning while getting ready or walking to work.
- This new tank from Pink Iron.
When I saw it on instagram I instantly thought “MUST HAVE ASAP”. And btw, if you live in Los Angeles highly recommend taking a class at Pink Iron!
- intenSati with Kiwi Sweat.
It’s been a hot second since I’ve taken an intenSati class and jumped on the chance to work it out with creator Patricia Moreno and powerhouse Natalia Petrezela courtesy of Kiwi Sweat. The event took place last Saturday morning at the Frying Pan and was the best way ever to kick off the weekend. IntenSati uses spoken words, or mantras if you will, while you exercise. Okay, so it sounds a bit hokey, but stay with me here. I swear I felt like a beam of positive energy after my first intenSati class. Add in the element of being outdoors and having two instructors it was a solid event. Congratulations to Kiwi Sweat on the amazing launch!
- The Vacationers.
I generally read a lot of non-fiction for whatever reason— I have a weird thing for memoirs and educational books, but every so often I start craving a novel with a great story and characters to fall in love with. I’m loving my current bedtime read “The Vacationers” and highly recommend it as a “beach read” (or in my case “park read”).
- Some shameless self promotion. I’m no longer in charge of the ClassPass blog, which in some ways is a huge weight lifted off my shoulder. I still loving writing for my work blog and being a part of it in some way. Some things I was featured in this week: 8 Things No One Tells You About Spin (it’s going viral! Okay maybe not viral, but the response has been HUGE and I’m so excited about it!) and my debut as a hair model in 4 Cute Braids to Try at Your Next High- Intensity Class written by my kickass coworker Kristin. I told her she should start a side career as a professional hair braider.
What things are you loving this week?
