Happy Marathon Sunday!
Holy moly am I in awe of all the pictures of my friends post-marathon on Facebook- YOU GUYS ROCK. I knew some of my friends from the fitness industry were running but it’s incredibly inspiring to see some of my other friends from high school and college that I didn’t even know were running the NYC marathon. It’s not official yet but I’m about 99% sure I’ll be one of those runners in 2015. Just saying that terrifies me… but come on if I’m going to run a marathon it has to be home in NYC.
I typically describe myself as being an “old soul” because I enjoy going to bed at 10:30pm and low-key Saturday nights… but this weekend I put on my party pants (er leotard in the case of Halloween) because my friend from birthright Persia was here from LA. I spent the weekend going out with birthright friends is always a great time. I’m also mucho grateful for daylights savings and the extra hour of sleep I squeezed in last night.
Glad I had a zebra print leotard hanging around my apartment…
Ever since the Uplift Challenge ended Monday I’ve been taking it easier than normal on the workout front. I could feel that my body needed the extra sleep plus I had to make a brief trip to Westchester for 2 doctors appointments. This week, though, I’m back baby!
I’m super excited to get sweating for 2 reasons:
1. I joined a gym… more news on that later! But having a whole new plethora of group fitness classes to check out makes me really really excited.
2. I’m going to Boston over the weekend for my cousin’s wedding and our hotel just happens to be down the road from a few studios I’ve been dying to try out. I already booked a class at megaformer studio BTone and a cycling class at Recycle Studio. I’ve been eying these studios since ClassPass launched in Boston last winter and can’t wait to check them out!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend (and stayed warm if you are in NYC!)
