The weather in New York this week: nailing it.
I swear New York becomes a nicer, happier place the second the weather is above freezing. It’s pretty magical actually.
My brain is incapable of writing a coherent post apparently, I’ve literally tried all night and have deleted every draft I came up with. So here it is!
I’m running the NYC Marathon. Holy moly my friends. Even saying this makes me terrified and my heart starts to pitter patter. I’ve been thinking about running a marathon for a while now and knew if I was going to do it, it had to be New York. This city has been my home for 6+ years after all.
I didn’t get in via lottery (I had a better chance of getting into Harvard basically) and decided to fundraise with Team in Training- Leukemia Lymphoma Society. I went back and forth with whether or not I should go with Team in Training or Team for Kids. Obviously it’s a win-win situation, both are great causes doing great things, but ultimately decided on Team in Training because it’s a cause close to my heart. I know training for a marathon is going to be freaken tough, but thinking about the cause I am running for will definitely help keep me going.
Sorry guys, I’ll have to be super lame on Halloween ‘cuz I’m running a marathon the next day 🙂
Marathoners: give me your words of wisdom!
Anyone else out there running the NYC Marathon?
