Um I don’t know about you but March felt like it was the longest month EVER. Ooh, girl, I’m so glad to be moving on. And getting closer to warm weather š
Let’s dive on in to my favorites from the month.
Favorite Things from March
Fashion I’m Loving…
Handful Sports Bra.
OBSESSED. I wouldn’t recommend this bra for a high impact workout, but for lounging it’s the greatest thing ever. The fabric is soft like buttah and the padding helps you avoid the dreaded sports-bra uniboob. Yes, that’s a very real problem.
If anyone is looking for a great birthday gift for me, I’d love one of thisĀ bra in every color š
Food I’m loving…
Poke from Pokee.
Full disclosure, I was invitedĀ to a free lunch atĀ this relatively new, Greenwich Village, poke place. And since then I’ve gone back no less than four times. It’s not even the closest poke place to me, but I’ll go out of my way to go to Pokee. I cannot get enough of their salmon and Hawaiian tradition sauce.
Also discovered Door Dash thanks to Pokee and it’s become a new favorite for delivery. So many of my favorites are on there — HI JAPONICA š
Daily Harvest smoothie
I’ve been wanting to try Daily Harvest and was SO excited when they were a sponsor at an event I attended recently.
The smoothies come frozen and ready to blend — all you have to do is add liquid and BAM you got a smoothie. The pineapple + matcha combo I enjoyed above was so freaking refreshing post workout.
I have a feeling I’ll be ordering these in bulk on the regular come summer. Apparently they also have soups now which I’ll have to try as well!
Guys, I had not had kombucha until recently. Am I still allowed to call myself a wellness blogger?
Half of you are thinking I’m VERY late to the party, the other half has no clue what the eff kombucha is. For the latter half, komucha is a fermented tea drink that gives you a healthy dose of probiotics — the stuff that keeps your gut bacteria happy.
I loathe carbonated beverages — no soda for me — but really enjoy Revive’s Campfire Kombucha. It’s not crazy carbonated and has this refreshing almost toasted flavor.
What I read…
After reading Maybe in Another Life last month, I knew I had to read EVERYTHING Taylor Jenkins Reid has ever written.
The story inĀ One True LovesĀ does require you suspend your disbelief a bit, but the premise is interesting and characters so damn lovable. The story follows Emma Blair, a young widow, who finds out her husband actually isn’t dead. That would be great but she’s now engaged to a childhood friend. It’s a bizarre concept but a really interesting look at how love can change and evolve over time.
It’s a quick read and I definitely recommend it!
What I’m Watching…
The Lego Batman Movie.
Yes, Jeremy and I saw The Lego Batman Movie. And freaking loved it. I was worried I wouldn’t like it as much as the lego movie, I’m not into action movies and don’t always love superhero movies.Ā The Lego Batman Movie held it’s own and kept the same bizarre sense of humor from the original lego movie. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.
Beauty and the Beast.
I’ll argue that Jeremy was more excited than me to see the Beauty and the BeastĀ remake. Yes, I found me a guy that loves Disney as much as I do.
Overall we loved it and thought it was a topnotch adaption of one of our favorite movies. Our least favorite part, though, was Emma Watson’s horrendous auto tuning. UGH.
Besides that, we thought it was spectacular and lived up to our high expectations.
Waitress on Broadway
So, Jeremy and I accidentally became Waitress the Musical superfans and have now seen the show three times. It was kind of an accident… but we’ve also become pretty obsessed with the show. It’s no Hamilton, but I find it super charming and the music really catchy.
It was Jessie Mueller’s last performance as the lead role so we knew it was going to be an extra special show.
… And we might’ve bought another pair of tickets to see Sara Bareilles’ last night in the show. Oops.
In Transit on Broadway.
I had seen an early incarnation of the acapella musical In Transit back in 2010. I was excited and curious to see how the show has since blossomed and changed with the move to Broadway.
The creators did a great job of fleshing out the different character’s stories for Broadway and expertly used theĀ space in a way that made sense. If you’ve never seen a show at the Circle in the Square, it’s the most bizarre broadway theater and that’s why I love it.
Between on character running the NYC marathon and another struggling to make it as an actor in NYC, I definitely related to many of the characters.
I look forward to seeing it again soon.
RuPaul’s Drag Race
She’s baaaaack! I still have to catch up on the most recent episode from Friday, but I’m oh so excited that Drag Race is back! Anyone else watching this season?
OtherĀ Highlights…
Green Day at Barclays
I’m always embarrassed to admit that Green Day is my favorite band. But it’s true. They may be in their 40’s and playing songs they wrote in their teens, but hot damn do they put on a good show. Always the perfect mix of new songs and old favorites.
I’m glad I’ll get to see them again in August š
Starbucks spring cups.
These adorably bright cups that debuted on the first day of spring totally made my day!

Love this list! I’ll be in NYC next month for a 24-hour layover and can only see ONE Broadway show (the horror!) Any suggestions? I’d like to see something newer and that I can get discount tickets to (#gradstudentprobs, haha) – interested in Waitress, Come from Away, or Great Comet (long shot, I know…but it occasionally pops up on TodayTix, and I’ll be there on a weeknight, which helps). Would love your recommendation! š

Ack sorry for the delay on this and hope your trip didn’t already happen! I love love love Waitress and would probably recommend that first. I still need to see Great Comet (two my college teacher are involved — the director and choreographer!) and I’ve only seen a short clip of Come From Away.
For cheap tickets TodayTix is great, lotto if you wanna take your chances and the TKTS booth in time square for last minute deals.
