Anyone else just survive the longest week EVER?
Don’t get me wrong, it was all thanks to good things. But at one point Tuesday I realized it was only Tuesday.
Jeremy’s birthday was Monday. I headed up to Westchester in the evening to celebrate with him and some of our friends at the local bar. I got back to the city way past my bedtime, but it was worth it. This weekend we’re continuing the celebration and going to one of our favorite restaurants, Union Square Cafe. It’s a bit pricey so we like to go for special occasions. Like birthdays.
My friend Michelle Cady wrote a book. You already knew that from this week’s podcast episode😉. Leslie and I organized her book launch party on Tuesday and it was incredible. I am in awe of the things the humans in my life create.
And then it was only Wednesday and I was exhausted from all the happenings.
Anyways… here are a few of my recent favorite things! Let me know in the comments what you’ve been loving too. And cheers to it finally being Friday.
Favorite Things // Vol. 12
▶︎ I’ve been living in the new tank bra from Everlane.
I was a bit hesitant to purchase the bra because it seemed kind of flimsy — I’m not like huge chested. But I definitely have a chest. Well, I already purchased two more bras because I’m OBSESSED. It’s like a sports bra that doesn’t smoosh the girls down. Perfect with muscle tanks (which I basically live in with yoga pants). And it kind of looks like a cami under a low cut shirt.
✨
▶︎ Everlane also came out with undies recently (did I really just call them undies?) I’ve been looking for a new thong that looks smooth under yoga pants and Victoria Secret has been mad disappointing lately.
The new thong from Everlane is perfect. There’s nothing frilly or lacy about it. It looks smooth under yoga pants or jeans. And it’s comfy. A+ in my book — and yes I already purchased more pairs.
Okay, that’s enough chatting about underwear for one day.

▶︎ I’m convinced Milk Makeup has changed my life. Or at least has changed my attitude towards makeup.
I’m so not a makeup person. Like, I wear makeup. But don’t really know what I’m doing with it. And I’ve been using most of the same products since high school.
I don’t know what it is about everything from Milk but these products got me excited to play around with makeup. I never, ever, ever thought I’d be that girl. The products are super easy to use (great when you’re makeup illiterate like me!) and can be applied with your fingers for the most part. Oh, they also have fun great videos on their website.
Here’s what I got:
✦ the foundation. The foundation goes on super light which I prefer — I don’t like cake-y makeup
✦ concealer. I don’t use a ton of it but it’s been great for minor blemishes and mornings when I look exhausted…
✦ cooling water roll-on. this stuff feels SO good under my eyes after showering when I come home from teaching. Oh so refreshing.
✦ highlighter. I’ve never used highlighter before. Dudes, I don’t even follow any Kardashians on instagram. But this stuff is my favorite of everything I’ve tried from Milk so far. I use it on my nose, cheekbones and brow bones.
✦ eyeshadow. The eyeshadow is a bit more sparkly than my previous matted look I’d go for. But it makes me feel a bit extra. And sometimes ya just want to feel extra.
✦ kush mascara. Okay so mascara is actually my makeup of choice. If I’m going to wear anything it’s mascara. This new product uses cannabis oil to condition your lashes… and it launched on 4/20. Excellent marketing.
One thing I didn’t love: the gel brow eyebrow pen. I got some thick, big ass brows already. This product just made them a bit too prominent, if ya know what I mean.
✨
▶︎ salt & vinegar popcorn from Pipcorn. If ya don’t know, now you know
✨
▶︎ I’ve been binge listening to the Let It Out podcast by Katie Dalebout lately. I dunno about you, but I go through phases were I crave different podcasts / blogs.
Right now I’m a bit burnt out on certain “healthy living” podcasts. And I know my own podcast falls into that category. I love that Katie’s podcast talks a lot about wellness in a broad way. But the conversations are also super interesting and at times have nothing to do with wellness. Her recent episode with Kathleen Shannon of one of my favorite podcasts, Being Boss, is excellent.
✨
▶︎ and last but not least: gorgeous weather. Ah spring, you are my favorite.
Your turn: What have you been loving this week?
