Hello, Friday 🙂 Hope you all had a good week.
Ya got anything fun planned for this weekend? I’ll be in Westchester tomorrow celebrating my grandma’s 90th birthday. I swear she is 90 years young. The woman still attends rallies for causes she deeply believes in and uses emojis in her text messages. I’m looking forward to celebrating my incredible grandma with my whole extended fam.
Here’s what I got for you on the favorite front this week:
Where I’m Working Out:
Holy moly I went to FIVE Bar Method classes this week. It’s a new record for me! One of the reasons I’ve been drawn to the workout class is because I can go five days in a row without totally destroying my body.
I have nothing against going hard and doing high intensity workouts — I still do that from time to time. But with my teaching schedule right now it’s nice to a have a fitness option that still works my muscles but doesn’t leave me feeling like I need a nap and an ice bath afterwards.
What I’m Eating:
ALL the vegan ice cream from Van Leeuwen in the West Village. I am OBSESSED with their vegan chocolate chip cookie dough. It’s the best things that’s happened to lactose intolerance. The line can be a bit crazy at night, but I swear it’s worth the wait.
What I’m Listening to:
I recently stumbled upon the Sex and the City podcast SPLAT! and I’m already binging my way through it. If you are a fellow SATC addict, listen to this podcast!
What I’m Watching:
Last weekend I went to see My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center. I can’t believe I’ve never seen a live production of My Fair Lady. It’s a show we heavily discussed in a musical theater history class I took in college so I was excited to finally see a production of it. My parents, Jeremy and I all loved it. It’s very classic Broadway in the sense that it starts off a bit slow and runs long, but overall it’s a spectacular revival.
What I’m Drinking:
I recently got an Nespresso machine to curb my pricey Starbucks latte habit. I’m still figuring out how to craft the perfect dairy-free iced vanilla latte — it’s a work in progress. Yesterday I did however many an iced latte with Oatly oat milk. I firmly believe oat milk to be the superior tasting dairy-free milk of choice, so being able to make my own oat milk lattes is pretty freaking awesome. Do you have any favorite espresso related recipes for me to play around with? I’m thinking I need to make an affogato this weekend — espresso with ice cream 😍
✨
Your turn: What are you loving this week?

omg WHAT is that podcast and how have I never heard of it?! also I’m super sad that my bar method doesn’t have more convenient class times with my work schedule ’cause I would absolutely go more often!
