Happy Friday 🙂 Hope you’re all as excited as I am for the weekend ahead. Jeremy and I are going to Union Square Cafe for a belated Valentine’s Day celebration. The other things planned are me teaching Saturday and us sleeping-in Sunday morning. Just the way I like my weekends — low key.
Here’s another installment of my favorite things. And for the record — these are a few of my favorite things of course refers to the Sound of Music. Although I love ya too, Ari 😘
This outfit:Â tank top is Spiritual Gangster // leggings are Fabletics

a fake snow day: Tuesday’s snow storm ended up giving me a sort of snow day. I had already taught two classes in the morning and had a hunch my commitments for later in the day would be cancelled thanks to the snow. I squeezed in a workout at Bar Method and by 11:30AM I was home for the rest of the day. It. Was. AWESOME. Sometimes ya just need a lazy day.
✨
this eyeshadow palette from Tarte: I won’t pretend I know much about make-up but I’m really digging this Tarte eyeshadow palette I bought at Sephora. It’s sparkly but not too extra for every day wear. And I found the little how-to guide it comes with super helpful [and easy enough for me to follow and recreate 😂].

dinner with friends at Urban Space – Vanderbilt //Â i LOVE meeting up with friends at food halls — especially when you all have somewhat similar eating habits. Last week I met up with my two besties for an amazing spread of eats. We split a lobster roll from Red Hook Lobster Pound, fish tacos + chips and guac from La Palapa, and then we each got vegetarian ramen from Kuro-Obi by Ippudo. I loved everything. And now I’m super hungry just thinking about all this food.

What I’m Watching:
▶︎ Aladdin on Broadway // Last week Jeremy and I went to see Aladdin on Broadway.
I absolutely flipped out when I received an email from Disney marketing inviting me to attend Aladdin on Broadway for free. Count me in! I saw the show on Broadway a few years ago with my friend Leah but I was super excited to see it again with Jeremy. Aladdin is his all-time favorite Disney movie.
Needless to say we both had a blast. I swear Never Had a Friend Like Me is the most spectacular production number on Broadway right now. I also think the way they do the magic carpet ride is absolute Disney magic. It’s impossible to not leave the theater smiling.
I rarely get to see Jeremy during the week — since he lives in Westchester and I’m in the city we typically only see each other on the weekends. It felt extra special to get to see him for dinner and a show on a Tuesday.
[Full disclosure: I was not required to post about about my experience.]
✨
▶︎ Netflix’s “Fyre Fraud” Documentary // Anyone else OBSESSED with all things Fyre Festival? I finally got around to watching the Netflix documentary and of course now I can’t stop thinking about the whole mess. I’m legit considering re-joining Hulu just so I can see their documentary. Have you watched either one?
✨
▶︎ the OG Spiderman Trilogy // So Jeremy and I have been on a total Spiderman kick since seeing Spiderman Into the Spiderverse last month. We watched the newest live action movie [Spiderman Homecoming] which is pretty good. We also decided to go back and re-watch the Toby Maguire Spiderman movies — which if I’ll be honest haven’t aged as well as I hoped. It’s been fun to go back and rewatch the movies, though, I forgot A TON of the important plot details.
✨
▶︎ Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 3 // I decided to purchase season 3 of Drag Race on iTunes — I was still in college when the season originally aired! After seeing Manila CRUSH IT on All Stars, I’ve been dying to go back and see her original season. It’s interesting how much the show has evolved since 2011, but it’s been fun to meet all these new-to-me queens from this early season.
✨
What I’m Listening To:
▶︎ Podcast: Punch Up The Jam // THIS PODCAST IS MY NEW FAVORITE THING EVER.
Basically the podcast is an in-depth discussion of super overplayed, iconic, songs. The hosts get super nitty gritty breaking down the lyrics and also get nerdy about music theory — which I loooove. It’s hilarious and I found myself trying to discreetly giggle at the nail salon while I was listening and getting my nails done last week.
What really sold me is that when I went to subscribe I realized the most recent episode analyzed Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day. If you don’t know I am a embarrassingly massive Green Day fan. You don’t even want to know how many hours I’ve spent waiting in line to be front row at their concerts.
Last week’s episode breaks down “Come On Eileen” which is my ultimate guilty pleasure song. Go listen to this podcast. Now.
✨
▶︎ Ariana Grande’s new album// I mean, obviously. Jeremy and I spent an hour in the car together last weekend. I warned him beforehand that listening to Ari’s new album top to bottom was required listening for the car ride. I personally think she’s on freaking FIRE right now with what’s she’s been creating.
