Happy Friday 🙂
I’m heading to Westchester this weekend to get some fresh air (literally) and spend time with my family. I’m excited to see my grandma (from a distance, of course) and spend time with some friends that live near my parents. As I said in yesterday’s blog post, it’s WAY easier to get together with friends when you can drive a car there and can then hang out outside in someone’s backyard. I’ve also requested my dad grill up some lobster tails and I’m HYPED.
This week’s list of favorites is short but very sweet. As always, let me know in the comments what you’re loving this week, too.
Seeing Leslie + meeting Harlee!
Hands down the highlight of my week was seeing my good friend Leslie and getting to meet her new babe, Harlee. If you’ve been following me here or on Instagram for a while you’ll remember Leslie as my business partner for Holistic Happening. While we might not host events together anymore, she is still one of my closest friends. It’s crazy to think that I hadn’t seen her since MARCH and I was so so so excited to meet Harlee.
It’s amazing what an hour with a friend you haven’t seen in forever can do for your happiness. I seriously needed that friendship time.
Vegan pizza from Gnocco in the East Village
HOW HAS NO ONE EVER TOLD ME ABOUT GNOCCO BEFORE!?!?
I was perusing some dinner options on Postmates, as per usual. I’ve been really craving all the Italian food lately. Going to blame it on the fact that my trip to Italy last month was cancelled. ANYWAY… I stumbled upon Gnocco and turns out they have a ton of vegan options including some bombass vegan pizza.
I’ve had my fair share of vegan pizza at this rate, the good, the bad and the just plain awful. THIS STUFF IS THE REAL DEAL. I don’t know what it’s made with, but I don’t care. It tastes like actual cheese and happiness. Which is what this lactose intolerant gal is looking for in a vegan pizza.
I haven’t been to the actual restaurant yet, but they also have a cute outdoor eating area.
this outfit from Abercrombie
I’m always embarrassed to admit I shop at Abercrombie. There is definitely a stigma against their clothes. But I always find the cutest things from them, and I find their stuff fits my body well.
My latest favorite find is this outfit — a cute cropped tank + midi skirt. I’m always iffy about midi skirts as a short gal, but I like the length of this one. I also love that the tank top fits pretty snug, almost like a bodysuit, making it great for tucking in but sans wedgie. Sorry, I just can’t get into the bodysuit craze.
It looks like Abercrombie is doing some mega sales this weekend, so be sure to check it out.
Figuring out TikTok
I’m SO excited to finally be able to share that I have been chosen to receive a grant from TikTok for educators. Over the next 8 weeks, I’ll be posting educational videos on yoga, wellness, fitness, and all my usual kind of content on the platform. I’m still very new to TikTok and am starting to get the hang of how it works. But I can definitely see how it’s addicting.
Be sure to follow me on TikTok and say hiiiii!
the podcast Boob Sweat
I recently started listening to Katie Sturino’s podcast Boob Sweat. The podcast is all about talking about the slightly taboo things in life… like boob sweat, divorce and not wanting to have kids.
This week’s episode was a bit different and deep dove into the topic of racism and anti-racist work with creator CeCe Olisa. It was an eyeopening episode for me, personally.

That outfit is too cute and that pizza looks delicious! This week I met up with friends at a beer garden and it was such a lovely way to see each other while still socially distancing!
