Welp, it’s certainly been an interesting first week of 2021… I’ll be honest to say I don’t really know what to say on the matter except how disgusted I am by these white supremacists and how sickened I am by the violent display of anti-semitism as well.
I am struggling with my own words on the matter. And don’t mean for this cheery post to take away from the terrifying things that happened this week.

Today’s favorites are a few things bringing me joy lately including the most incredible vegan cookie I’ve ever had, a tasty vegan cacio e pepe, the music video I’m obsessed with, and my new favorite body lotion.
the (vegan!) Cacio e Pepe from Double Zero
I’m a huge fan of the vegan pizzeria Double Zero. While their pizza is no doubt amazing, I’ve been really loving their Cacio e Pepe lately. It’s vegan but still delightfully creamy.
I’ve been having the leftovers with an egg on top and some tempeh mixed in too.
the vegan tahini cookie from Seven Grams
Last week a friend and I ventured to Seven Grams to try out their vegan tahini cookie. I’ve tried my fair share of vegan cookies at this rate, and I gotta say this one was AMAZING. Crispy on the outside. Ooey and gooey on the inside. I’ll be heading back for some more soon.
the Treat People With Kindness music video
If you need a solid dose of joy, check out Harry Styles dancing in his newest music video for the song Treat People with Kindness. It also features Phoebe Waller-Bridge aka Fleabag!
this Almond scented lotion
My skin has been SO dry lately. I’ve always been a fan of L’Occitane’s body lotions (it’s what my mom used when I was growing up so I’d always steal some of hers after showering). I’ve been using their “Almond Concentrate” which is a slightly thicker lotion. It’s been really helping with my dry skin but doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. Plus I’m OBSESSED with the almond scent.
getting obsessed all over again with The Idea of You
If I’m going to be super honest my real favorite thing was rereading The Idea of You this past week. You’re probably sick of hearing me talk about this book in almost every blog post. But it’s just the truth! I was also so so so excited to see this book talked about in this Vogue article.
