Happy Friday! Hope you are doing alright this week. It seems just about everyone in the US has gotten some snow this week. My heart goes out to Texas. Sending lots of love to all my readers and friends there.
On tap today: some recent favorites. I like to think there’s something for everyone: the body wash you’ve probably heard of but I’m newly obsessed with (and a loofah alternative you NEED to try!), the cutest pill organizer, spring dresses I’m lusting for, fun notebooks, and lots more.
the COZIEST emerald green sweatshirt
My #1 Quarantine MVP (besides Lululemon align leggings) has been this sweatshirt from Reformation. It’s the softest, coziest, fabric EVER but also great for all seasons.
I’ve had the sweatshirt in black for a while but then Reformation changed the material for a bit. I kept checking the website to see if the old fabric (the Tencel blend) was back and it finally was! I promptly got the sweatshirt in emerald green and I’m so so happy about it.
this body wash from Olay
Okay, hear me out on this one. I’ve been dealing with some seriously dry skin lately. Like worse than I’ve ever dealt with in previous winters. As someone with sensitive skin and prone to eczema patches, I asked my dermatologist for body wash recommendations. I was surprised when she said to go for the Olay body wash with shea butter — usually, her recommendations aren’t drug store finds.
I’ve totally overhauled my shower routine to Olay stuff now. I’m talking body wash followed by the in-shower body lotion, and topping it up with lotion afterward. I’ve noticed a serious change in my skin — especially the patches that were really getting rough right below my armpit where sports bras chafe. Sorry for the TMI, but UGH dry skin struggles!
I’m thrilled that all the products are budget-friendly, too. I will say I do still love my “fancier” lotions and potions from other brands and will probably switch back when the weather is warmer. But for now, me and my dry skin are loving Olay.
the best loofah alternative
It’s been a hot second since I’ve used a loofah, or one of those poof looking ones that I know EVERYONE has had (or still has!) at some point. After hearing Grace Atwood rave about the Luv Scrub mesh body exfoliator, I was intrigued. It lives up to the hype!
In the shower, wet the exfoliator and then put a little bit of your favorite body wash on it. It will get all lather-y and easy to exfoliate everywhere — even your back! As I said earlier I have, sensitive skin. You barely flick my arm and it gets bright red instantly. The exfoliator sluffs off the dead skin but doesn’t leave my skin irritated and I’ve found I can use SO much less body wash with it.
this cute (pink!) pill organizer
You know you’re 30 when you get REAL excited about a pill organizer. After some recent bloodwork, my doctor recommended I start a new vitamin regimen. It’s nothing exciting, but I’m not here to make vitamin recommendations as you should be taking what you need, not what I need!
Between the vitamins and the other medications I take every day, I figured a pill organizer would be helpful. I found this super cute pink one (currently on sale!) and I love it so far. And I also don’t have to panic every night trying to remember what pills I already took.
(fun!) new notebooks
I love me some cute notebooks! I’m left-handed and prefer notebooks without a spiral (left-handed problems) so wanted to find some cute notebooks similar to the marble ones I always used for journaling growing up.
Pineapple || Cactus || Swirl || Pink Marble
These ones I found are super cute — it’s not exactly the same as an “official” marble notebook, but I like them!
tie-dye crew socks
After reading this article about wearing thick socks over leggings I was inspired to get a few pairs of (cute!) tie-dye crew socks. These ones are from American Eagle and have been great both under my snowboots or on the days I dare to wear my white sneakers.
this springy dress
I cannot wait to wear this dress with white boots or sneakers and a faux leather jacket. Is it spring yet?
Future Favorites
A few things I ordered this week that I’m REALLY excited about:
- this super fun faux-wrap rainbow dress (please please please fit!) — currently on sale!
- also rainbow: these pajamas
- a gorgeous aqua workout top
Will share if any end up being keepers!
