the downside of waking up at 4:20am for work (besides that fact that I am waking up at 4:20am) ? All I want to do is eat and eat some more.By the time it’s 9am, aka a normal time to eat breakfast, my co-worker and I are already starving and ready for meal #2 of the day.
dinner aka meal #4321893 of the day: vegan chili from Peacefoods Cafe. so so good.
the other downside of waking up at 4:20am? about half-way through the afternoon my body suddenly realized just how long it has been awake and I get the mid-afternoon sleepies. Mid day green smoothie to the rescue
Besides being sleepy, my body is hurtin from this week’s workouts.
Saturday: RIP Ride @ Revolve (1 hour cycling class with 2 arm sections)
Sunday: Refine Method (1 hour strength training with cardio bursts)
Monday: strength training on my own
Tuesday: Cell Fit at Fitness Cell Collective (1 hour strength training and cardio workout)
Wednesday: Body Ride @ Revolve (45 min with 1 arm section), vinyasa yoga and taught a 55ish minute spin class (aka day of death)
Thursday: Nalini Method (barre class on crack)
Friday: Doonya (a cardio dance class similar to zumba but using indian music and traditional dance)
Yeah, I’m definitely excited for a rest day. This week was not a typical work out week for me because I had a class package from Refine about to expire and my month long Classtivity passport was almost expired as well.
Oddly enough the workout that killed me the most? Not the spin classes, not the strength training but Nalini Method is to blame for my sore sore body. I will never again underestimate the power of a good barre class.
Since all my fun class packages expired I’m trying to figure out what do this upcoming week as far as workouts go. Thanks to work I can take free spin classes and barre classes which is great, but I also still crave fun classes that focus on heavy weights and opportunities to dance. I wish I didn’t love expensive fitness classes so much…..
what’s a typical workout week like for you?
what workouts leave you the most sore?
and just for fun, 2 articles I read today that I am lovin’
Should I Be Sending My Child To Camp?
(from a girl who spent 8 summers as a day campers, 4 summers as a sleep away campers, 2 summers working at sleep away camp and 3 summers working at day camp. yes, yes you should. I am eternally grateful that my parents sent me to camp starting at age 5.)
I probably won’t be staying kosher for passover, but there are some awesome and easy to make recipes here that I plan on making next week!

I sometimes find it so hard to get the energy to workout during the week. I tend to stick to running in the morning, but I try to squeeze in a gymnastics class once a week at chelsea piers.

gymnastics at chelsea pier sounds like the most fun. I had a friend that used to go and I definitely want to try it out
