I LOVE working out in the morning... even though I'm so not a morning person. Working out first thing in the morning means nothing can get in your way. Here's how I became a morning workout person:

Start with baby steps

I eased into becoming a morning work out person by starting with yoga. I knew it would be a gentle way to use into the day. Once I got used to waking up for yoga, I started testing the waters for more intense classes

Set Yourself Up for Success!

I always set out my clothes the night before and anything else I might need in the AM .  If I'm heading to work right after I'll also pack out my outfit and things for the rest of the day. Trust me, doing it the night before is much better!

Look Forward To Your Workout

Waking up early to workout is much easier when you like the workout you're heading to! If I'm really struggling with motivation, I'll book a class I know I'll love at my favorite fitness studio. Or I'll meet up with a friend to make it a bit more fun.

Be Gentle With Yourself

There are mornings where I wake up and think "Nope, not today!" and go back to sleep. And that's okay!  Aim to take small steps towards becoming an AM workout person, but know that some days it just isn't meant to be.
