Tips for Getting Started with Fitness

You're looking to start working out - YAY!!! I know getting started with fitness can be intimidating. Here is some advice for getting started if you're totally new to working out or it's been awhile!

Pick an exercise you love!

Love dancing? Try Zumba. Were you totally a beach lover as a kid? Try swimming. Love to explore? Try hiking. Focus on finding ways to move that YOU love.

Make a date with yourself

Pick a time that works for you -- maybe it's before work. During a lunch break. Or after. Put that time in your calendar just like you would a meeting.

Enlist friends

Showing up is much easier when you also have a friend counting on you. Schedule a fitness date to take a class or go for a walk with a friend.

No negative self-talk!
