Arrive Early!

There's nothing more stressful than scrambling to check-in and get your spot for class. Give yourself lots of time to settle in before class!

Come With An Open Mind

Every yoga class is different.  Some might have chanting. Some you might OM. Others you’ll rock out to hip-hop.  Come with an open mind to whatever comes your way in class!

Tell the teacher you’re new to yoga.

This will allow them to keep an eye on you, and also allow them to tell you what you need to know before class

Check your ego at the door.

It's okay if you can't do all the poses. It's okay if you need to take breaks. Be gentle with yourself throughout class.

Child Pose is ALWAYS an option.

If at any point you need a moment to pause, for whatever reason, take a child's pose. It's not a sign of weakness.

Don’t take yourself too seriously.

It's just yoga. Not rocket science. If you fall out of a pose, no big deal! Shake it off and try again!
